Calling Illustrators! Be Part of the Metamancers Next Expansion: Dark Age!

Are you an artist with a passion for storytelling and fantasy worlds? 

This is your chance to bring Metamancers to life and join a one-of-a-kind collaborative project! 

We're summoning up to 120 talented illustrators to create unique artwork for our upcoming Kickstarter-funded expansion.

What’s in it for you?

1. Be paid: The illustrators selected for the project will be fairly compensated for their work, ensuring their valuable contribution is recognized and rewarded. 

   1. A guaranteed upfront payment (US$1,000 per illustration) will be provided upon the campaign's success and acceptance of the submitted artwork. (Maximum value per illustration US$2,000)

      1. The commission amount was determined between our illustrator community in Discord and us.

2. Exclusive stretch goals for all illustrators: 

   1. 50% of final profit will be distributed to all illustrators with acceptance of the submitted artwork. (Net profit after all expenses, and decision made by the game owners, not appealable.)

   2. Cards from our previous expansions and core game may be redrawn and included as extras in Dark Age's expansion, creating additional paid opportunities for our illustrators.

   3. Dark Age is expected to have 120 cards, but a stretch goal will be set to increase the size of the expansion creating additional paid opportunities for our illustrators.

3. Showcase Your Talent: Your art will be featured in a groundbreaking card game with a growing community of players and collectors.

4. Be Part of a Creative Movement: Join forces with a network of fellow artists and creators to bring this vision to life.

5. Reach a Wider Audience: The Kickstarter campaign will promote all participating illustrators, helping your art reach new fans and supporters.

What We Need From You:

1. A link to your portfolio.

2. Your willingness to promote the campaign and share it with your community of fans and followers.

3. Optional: Pledge for the campaign to help us reach the goal.

Rules:

1. AI in your final illustration is NOT allowed:

   1. You have to show each step of your illustration creation process, through images and/or videos.

   2. You can use AI to get poses, to build a semantic panel, to use in your design thinking.

   3. You may NOT use any AI in the final artwork, whether in whole or in part. We reserve the right to ban and report you to our community if we find AI in your final artwork.

Deadlines:

1. Apply: March, 2025.

2. Campaign launching date: April, 2025.

3. Submission of illustrations: September, 2025.

Production:

The game is scheduled for start production in the last quarter of 2025 and will be delivered to all backers by Jun 2026.
